I’m a UK-based doctor and the creator of the SNI Medicine Notes series. The series covers the core clinical subjects taught in medical school:

  • Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics
  • Otolaryngology
  • Ophthalmology

These notes began with my own studies during medical school. I would take a clinical scenario, pick out the important clues and try to work out the diagnosis. Then I would tackle the questions about investigations and management. If I needed to understand why something happened, I would go back to the textbook and read the relevant pathophysiology. That was how I learned, and how I wrote my notes.

I shared them with friends and colleagues, and then with the juniors who followed us. What started as my own study material became something other students could use too.

Now, with the help of AI, I want to update that work and bring it to the next generation. I want students to see how to work through a scenario and answer its questions, with the textbook there to explain the science when they need it.

My ambition is to support medical students in Pakistan and give them access to learning resources on a par with those available to students around the world. The resources we develop will be free for everyone to use, wherever they study.

This is an independent project, run on a not-for-profit basis. I’m leading its development and inviting students, graduates and faculty to help it grow by sharing recent examination material, contributing original resources and helping review the content.
